Overview
On this safari, you will visit the best places in Tanzania including Lake Manyara and the amazing plains of the Serengeti. You will have choice spottings of the amazing tree-climbing lions! The safari includes a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater, known as the “Garden of Eden”, in Serengeti National Park. Come explore Africa with us! The itinerary starts with pickup at Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel and continues through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park before returning to Arusha on day 5.
Itinerary
Pickup in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park with game drive and lunch.
After an early morning breakfast our driver will pick you up at Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel and head to the Tarangire National Park. Along the way you will enjoy a morning game drive and a boxed lunch. Later in the day you will arrive at the lilac camp site Campsite where you will settle in, enjoy dinner and then turn in for the night to prepare for the amazing adventure ahead of you! Drive through Karatu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti and Seronera.
After breakfast you will drive to the Serengeti National Park, enjoying the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. Leaving the highlands behind, you will enter into the heart of wild Africa, the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains rolling into the distance, as far as the eye can see. You will head to the central area of the park, known as the Seronera, one of the richest wildlife habitats. In this part of the park you will visit the Seronera River which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. You will arrive in time for lunch and afterwards, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Later in the day you will have dinner and your overnight stay in the Seronera Camp [nguchiro camp site]. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park. Accommodation: Budget camping inside Serengeti NP. Sunrise game drive in Serengeti, then drive to Ngorongoro Crater.
Today you will wake up early, have a cup of coffee and take off for a sunrise morning game until the late morning. You will then return to the campsite for brunch. After your meal you will check out and take off on an exciting game drive in the Serengeti later driving to the Ngorongoro Crater. You will check in and enjoy dinner and your overnight stay at the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park. Accommodation: Budget camping inside Serengeti NP. Crater tour with big game viewing and overnight at lilac camp site.
After breakfast you will drive to the crater for the crater tour. Your expert guide will take you in search of big game. The animals allow you to get up close for great photos. This is one of Tanzania’s top parks for wildlife numbers. You are likely to see most of the “Big Five”, with lion, buffalo and elephant being almost certain, rhino relatively likely, and leopard a little more elusive. You are also likely to see great numbers of zebra and wildebeest, as well as spotted hyena. Later in the day you will ascend back up the crater and head to lilac camp site for dinner and your overnight stay. Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater. Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, Maasai Village visit, and return to Arusha.
After breakfast you will check out and take off for an exciting game drive in Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch. The Lake occupies a large area of the park, the forest starts just when you cross the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley with the hot spring to the west of the park. The park is home to the famous tree-climbing lion, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and troops of baboon. You will also see the majestic pink flamingo, ostrich, Egyptian geese and more. After your picnic lunch you will take part in an afternoon game drives; later driving to a Maasai Village to experience the different activities and cultures of the Maasai people. In the evening you will drive back to Arusha for dinner and your overnight stay. This is where your safari will end. Main Destination: Lake Manyara National Park.
