Terms and Conditions
MTP Exchange marketplace • Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. General information
These Terms govern access to and use of MTP Exchange, operated by CHINA AFRICA MEANINGFUL TOURISM PARTNERSHIP, Non Profit Company, at 1 Century Boulevard, Century City, 7441, Cape Town, South Africa, represented by Mr. R Julius. Users must comply with these Terms to the extent permitted by law. Additional conditions may apply to particular bookings or commercial relationships.
2. Purpose and nature of the platform
MTP Exchange is a digital marketplace and technology infrastructure connecting tourism service providers, DMCs, tour operators, travel agencies, distributors and customers. It supports product discovery, descriptions and availability, booking requests, payments through integrated providers, document generation and communications. The operator does not independently organise or deliver sellers’ tourism services.
3. Contractual relationships
Independent sellers offer the products and services displayed. When a customer purchases or books, the contract is formed with the relevant seller or clearly identified contractual service provider, not automatically with the platform operator. Sellers are responsible for fulfilling the booking and for relevant terms, customer support and documents. Mandatory consumer protections continue to apply.
4. Product information and availability
Sellers supply descriptions, itineraries, images, prices, availability, inclusions, exclusions and other information and must keep it accurate, current and lawful. Prices and availability may change until booking confirmation. The platform provides display and processing infrastructure without independently guaranteeing third-party information.
5. Booking process
A booking may involve selecting a service, choosing dates and participants, reviewing terms, submitting a request and, where required, paying. The binding contract arises at the point specified in the seller’s booking terms and applicable law; payment or an automated acknowledgement alone may not mean final confirmation. A confirmation, voucher or invoice may follow.
6. Payments
Payments are processed through the relevant seller’s payment service provider or contractual merchant account. The platform operator does not receive, collect or hold customer payments in its own accounts. Sellers are responsible for payment-related contractual obligations, taxes, invoices, refunds and chargebacks. Payment methods, currencies, charges and conditions may vary.
7. Confirmations and travel documents
Confirmations, vouchers, invoices, receipts and related documents may be generated and delivered using platform technology, but are issued by or on behalf of the relevant seller. Customers must check their documents and promptly notify the seller of errors.
8. Cancellations, changes and refunds
The seller’s booking terms and applicable law govern cancellation, modification and refund requests. Customers should review these before booking. Requests are addressed to the seller or routed through platform tools on the seller’s behalf. The operator supplies technical functionality but does not independently determine refund entitlements.
9. Seller responsibilities
Sellers must maintain accurate listings; deliver services as described; hold required licences, registrations, permits and insurance; comply with tourism, consumer, tax and other laws; handle enquiries, complaints and refunds; issue lawful invoices and documents; and process payments through authorised accounts. Separate seller agreements may apply.
10. Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate booking information, review terms and payment details, arrange required travel documents and permits, follow seller instructions and use the platform lawfully. Fraud, unauthorised access and automated abuse are prohibited.
11. Accounts and security
Some functions require registration. Users are responsible for credentials and account activity to the extent permitted by law, and should report suspected compromise to mtpexchange@camtp.net. The operator may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security threats, fraud or violations.
12. Third-party services
The platform may integrate payment, mapping, communication and other third-party services. Their own terms may apply. The operator is not responsible for independent third-party contractual obligations except as required by law.
13. Intellectual property
Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the platform for intended purposes. This does not authorise copying, reverse engineering, redistribution or commercial exploitation of protected components without permission or legal entitlement. Sellers retain rights to their own content.
14. Availability and technical operation
The operator aims to maintain reliable, secure operations but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, network failures and technical incidents may interrupt service. Changes may be made in accordance with contractual and statutory obligations.
15. Liability
The operator is responsible for its technical infrastructure as required by applicable law, but does not automatically assume responsibility for independently delivered tourism services. Claims concerning service performance should ordinarily be addressed to the seller. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
16. Privacy and data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable law, including GDPR where applicable. See the platform Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
17. Complaints and support
Service-quality, cancellation and refund complaints should be addressed to the seller. For platform access or technical support, contact mtpexchange@camtp.net. The operator may assist with communications without assuming the seller’s contractual duties.
18. Changes to these Terms
The operator may update the Terms to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The current version will be published on the platform; material changes and consents will be handled as required by law. Existing contracts and statutory rights remain protected.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Consumers retain mandatory jurisdiction rights. For business users, competent courts in Cape Town have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by law.
20. Consumer dispute resolution
MTP Exchange – The Meaningful Tourism Partnership Platform
MTP Exchange is committed to promoting transparency, fairness and responsible business practices across its global tourism marketplace.
MTP Exchange operates as a technology and marketplace platform connecting independent tourism service providers with customers. The contractual relationship for tourism products and services purchased through the platform is generally between the customer and the respective service provider.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Customers experiencing disputes relating to bookings, payments, cancellations, refunds or service delivery should first contact the relevant tourism service provider to seek an amicable resolution.
Where a dispute remains unresolved, MTP Exchange may, where appropriate, assist by facilitating communication between the parties. However, MTP Exchange does not act as an arbitrator and does not assume responsibility for the contractual obligations of independent service providers.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in this statement limits or excludes consumers' rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Consumers retain the right to seek assistance from relevant consumer protection authorities, recognised dispute resolution bodies or competent courts, where applicable.
