Overview
This tour is the perfect itinerary for anyone wishing to visit the most famous national parks in Tanzania. Except for the Serengeti, this tour will give you a great understanding of Tanzanian national parks in a short amount of time. The tour will take you to Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Day 1 starts with pickup at Arusha Hotel and travel to Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive and boxed lunch, then arrival at Lilac Campsite for dinner and overnight stay. Day 2 includes descent into Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife viewing, a visit to Lake Magadi, and return drive to Arusha in the afternoon.
Itinerary
Pickup in Arusha, game drive in Tarangire, overnight at Lilac Campsite.
After an early morning breakfast, our driver will pick you up at Arusha Hotel and head to the Tarangire National Park. Along the way, you will enjoy a morning game drive and a boxed lunch. Later in the day, you will arrive at the Lilac Campsite where you will settle in, enjoy dinner and then turn in for the night to prepare for the amazing adventure ahead of you! Main Destination: Tarangire National Park. Accommodation: Budget camping outside Tarangire NP. Meals & Drinks: All meals included; Drinking water (Other drinks not included).
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater, visit Lake Magadi, and return to Arusha.
After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. The crater also has a dense population of predators including lions, hyenas, jackals, and leopards. The tour will visit Lake Magadi in the southwestern corner of the crater, where flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen. Late in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
