Itinerary
Arrival transfer and safari briefing in Arusha.
Meet the safari coordinator at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, then transfer to the lodge for a safari briefing and overnight stay. Camping outfit and sleeping bag will be checked, and you will select preferred meals during the safari. Main Destination: Arusha (City). Accommodation: Arusha Farm House. Drive to Tarangire for game viewing and overnight at lodge.
After breakfast, the driver-guide picks you up and the safari commences. It takes about 3 hours of driving to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for wildlife around the permanent waters of Tarangire River, including wildebeests, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx. Dinner and overnight stay are at the lodge. Full day in Northern Serengeti with flexible game drives.
Spend the full day in Northern Serengeti National Park. The day is flexible according to your preferences, and your guide will discuss the best timing for game drives. Around July to September, thousands of wildebeests and zebras battle the strong currents and Nile crocodiles to cross the river toward Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park. Accommodation: Safari Haven. Meals & Drinks: All meals included; drinking water; other drinks not included.
Sunrise game drive in Serengeti and onward to Ngorongoro.
Early breakfast followed by a sunrise game drive on the Serengeti plains, offering opportunities to see lions, leopards, and other predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch on a hill and continue exploring the plains en route to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park. Crater-floor wildlife viewing and return to Arusha or Moshi.
Descend early into the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing, stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo lake, then continue with more wildlife viewing before driving out of the crater and returning to Arusha or Moshi. Visit Materuni Waterfalls, enjoy lunch, coffee ceremony, and return to Arusha.
Visit the Materuni Waterfalls with a guide sharing insights into Chagga people, village life, traditions, flora and fauna. The waterfalls cascade into a natural pool suitable for swimming; swimwear is recommended. Enjoy traditional Chagga lunch and local banana beer, then participate in a coffee ceremony with traditional songs and dances before being driven back to Arusha and dropped at the hotel.
